Important: Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before purchasing or using The Pet Sitter Vault™. By completing your purchase, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By purchasing, downloading, accessing, or using The Pet Sitter Vault™ (the 'Product'), you ('Customer,' 'you,' or 'your') agree to these Terms and Conditions ('Terms') in full. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not purchase or use the Product.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and VuraPet ('we,' 'us,' or 'our').

2. Product Description

The Pet Sitter Vault™ is a digital product delivered as an HTML file and/or interactive web application. It is designed to help pet owners organise care instructions, emergency protocols, and authorization information for use by pet sitters and caretakers.

The Product includes:

An interactive pet profile and care dashboard
An emergency decision guide for pet sitters
A video instruction hub with QR code support
A daily care schedule and quirks library
A veterinary care authorization form template
A setup and quick-start guide

3. Digital Product Delivery

Upon successful payment, the Product will be delivered to the email address provided at checkout. Delivery is automatic and typically occurs within minutes of purchase. If you do not receive your download within 2 hours, please contact us at support@vurapet.co.za before initiating a dispute.

VuraPet is not responsible for delivery failures caused by incorrect email addresses, spam filters, or email provider limitations. It is your responsibility to provide a valid, accessible email address at checkout.

4. Licence & Permitted Use

Upon purchase, VuraPet grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, personal licence to use the Product for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. Specifically, you may:

Download and open the Product on your personal devices
Fill in and personalise the Product with your pet's information
Share the completed, personalised Product with your own pet sitter(s)
Print the Product for personal use

You may NOT:

Resell, redistribute, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Product or any part of it
Share the unmodified or minimally modified Product file with third parties for their own use
Upload, post, or make the Product available on any website, marketplace, or file-sharing platform
Remove, alter, or obscure any branding, copyright notices, or trademarks within the Product
Use the Product as the basis for a competing product or service
Claim ownership or authorship of the Product or its design

5. Intellectual Property

The Pet Sitter Vault™, including its design, layout, content, structure, branding, and underlying code, is the exclusive intellectual property of VuraPet. All rights are reserved.

'VuraPet,' 'Pet Sitter Vault,' and the VuraPet logo are trademarks of VuraPet. Unauthorised use of these trademarks is prohibited.

Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you. You receive a limited licence to use the Product, not ownership of it.

6. No Refund Policy — Digital Products

Due to the immediate digital nature of this Product, all sales are final once the download has been delivered or accessed. We do not offer refunds on digital products that have been downloaded or accessed, except in the following circumstances:

The file delivered is corrupted, inaccessible, or materially different from what was described
You did not receive the file within 24 hours of purchase and contacted us within that period

30-Day Satisfaction Guarantee Exception

VuraPet offers a 30-day satisfaction guarantee. If, within 30 days of purchase, you have genuinely attempted to use the Product and it has not reduced your pre-travel pet-related anxiety, you may request a full refund by emailing support@vurapet.co.za with your order number and a brief description of your experience.

Refund decisions under this guarantee are made at VuraPet's sole discretion. Refunds will not be granted where there is evidence that the Product was fully used and then a refund requested opportunistically.

To request a refund, contact us at support@vurapet.co.za with your order number, purchase date, and details of the issue.

7. Medical & Veterinary Disclaimer

IMPORTANT MEDICAL DISCLAIMER

The Pet Sitter Vault™, including the Emergency Decision Guide and Veterinary Care Authorization Form, is provided for informational and organisational purposes ONLY.

The Product does NOT constitute veterinary advice, medical guidance, or professional pet care consultation. It is NOT a substitute for professional veterinary assessment, diagnosis, or treatment.

The Emergency Decision Guide is a general framework intended to help sitters communicate more effectively — not to replace veterinary judgment. In any situation where a pet's health is in doubt, the appropriate action is always to contact a licensed veterinarian immediately.

VuraPet accepts no liability for any harm, injury, death, or financial loss to any pet or person arising from decisions made using information contained in this Product.

8. Legal Disclaimer — Veterinary Authorization Form

The Veterinary Care Authorization Form included in the Product is a template communication tool designed to help pet owners document their preferences and grant informal authority to a caretaker.

This form:

Is NOT a legally binding document in all jurisdictions
Does NOT guarantee that a veterinary practice will accept it as legal authority
Does NOT replace any formal legal document, power of attorney, or veterinary directive
May or may not be enforceable depending on your country, province, or local jurisdiction

You are strongly advised to consult with your veterinarian regarding what documentation they require before leaving your pet in a caretaker's care. VuraPet accepts no legal liability arising from the use or non-enforceability of this form.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, VuraPet shall not be liable for:

Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
Any loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business opportunity
Any harm to pets or persons arising from the use of or reliance on this Product
Any technical failures, file corruption, or inaccessibility of the Product after delivery

In no event shall VuraPet's total liability to you exceed the amount paid for the Product.

10. No Warranties

The Product is provided 'as is' and 'as available.' VuraPet makes no warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

VuraPet does not warrant that the Product will meet your specific requirements, that it will be error-free, or that it will be compatible with all devices or browsers.

11. Data & Privacy

The Pet Sitter Vault™ operates entirely within your own browser or device. VuraPet does not collect, store, or access any of the personal information you enter into the Product, including your pet's name, medical information, or your contact details.

Your data is stored locally on your device only. VuraPet has no access to it.

Your email address and order information collected at checkout are subject to VuraPet's Privacy Policy, available at vurapet.co.za/privacy.

12. User Responsibility

You are solely responsible for:

The accuracy and completeness of information you enter into the Product
Ensuring your pet sitter reads and understands the information provided
Verifying that any videos linked via the QR code hub are appropriate and correctly linked
Updating the Product when your pet's care needs change
Ensuring the Product is used in compliance with these Terms

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Product shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.

If you are accessing the Product from outside South Africa, you are responsible for compliance with your local laws and regulations.

14. Changes to These Terms

VuraPet reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. The most current version will always be available at vurapet.co.za/pet-sitter-vault-terms. Continued use of the Product following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

Material changes will be communicated to customers via email where practicable.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or severed if modification is not possible. The remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with VuraPet's Privacy Policy and any other policies published on vurapet.co.za, constitute the entire agreement between you and VuraPet regarding the Product and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, or representations.
